Bottom line they did nothing to lengthen the lineup this offseason. I will agree Frazier has played great defense, but they miss Nicky G. bat. He is clutch! Finally I believe the lead off spot fanned 5 times today. That cannot happen. Hit the darn ball!

I have seen enough of Bae. Sure he had a nice ST, but today he looked like the same player as 2024. He belongs at Indy.

He’s never going to help the team win games over an extended time. There are several players on the 40-man who are better. He’s basically in the way. There’s absolutely no good reason to keep him.

Yep!

This team has to score more than 4 runs per game. They better begin hitting in the runners who are in scoring position. This is so frustrating.

RISP so far:
1-9
3-8
3-18
7-35 that's a .200 BA
In 2024, the MLB average was .243
Let's face it, in reality, we're not hoping for a winning team, a playoff contender. We're just hoping to just make it to average.

If that’s the case, what’s the point? The objective is to win. Why should we fans invest ourselves, our money, our time, if that’s the most we can ever expect? That’s not good enough for me, Surge. The league is broken if hoping for average year after year is the most we can hope for.

The Pirates haven't hit with RISP in 10 years. It's embarrassing. They have ZERO concept of situational hitting.
Despite that, with just average defense, and common sense, this team would be 3-0. But man the defense and the decision-making is a disaster.
On a related note, I'm glad we are "winning the margins" this year.

When you have Cherington as GM, Shelton as mgr and Rabelo as 3B coach, poor decision making is guaranteed. But their gross incompetence is nothing new. The fact that they retain their jobs year after year is proof that the organization places no value on winning.

Rabelo deserves blame for this loss as well. What else is new?
Year after year this clown continues to send runners so they
can be thrown lout by 10 feet
