Two things that are incredible to me ...
* Since July 19, the Pirates are 30-27. They've done this with 2 starting pitchers.
* The Pirates have not lost 3 games in a row since July 15-19.
When you look at this team, and when you look at this starting rotation, those numbers are very difficult to explain.

I think Hayes has made a huge difference since becoming a steady offensive contributor. And that coincided with Reynolds hitting better. Suwinski hovered around .200 most of the season but has hit .268 in September. Peguero has provided some offense and he's been playing more while Williams plays less (we can give some credit to management for that). Palacios has contributed 9 HRs in 230 ABs. And although they somehow have only 2 starting pitchers, Borucki and Mlodzinski have really strengthened the BP beyond Bednar and Holderman.SammyKhalifa wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 4:42 amCould it be the managers?!?Carolina Bucco wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 2:59 am Two things that are incredible to me ...

Yes, it could. I mentioned it a week or so ago in this forum.SammyKhalifa wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 4:42 amCould it be the managers?!?Carolina Bucco wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 2:59 am Two things that are incredible to me ...

Just wanted to comment on how good we looked to keep the lead after the Cubs 5 run 6th.
That crowd was coming unglued after the granny. But we calmly came back to score more runs and stay in control.
I was super impressed. It has been fun watching this team for the past couple of months.
Go 76!
