Heineman might be a good option to hold the fort for a couple years until Henry Davis is ready. He has a career .283 BA at AAA in 1,030 ABs. He's 31 and has had a 10-year minor league career. He's never had more than a cup o' coffee with 3 prior organizations. Maybe he just needs a chance to play.

Marcano has looked good at 2B today. I hope we see a lot more of him.

I think it might be best to rest Reynolds for the entire Detroit series. He is really struggling so far this season. I thought I heard on the radio broadcast he is hitting below.100 with runners in scoring position. A break may be what Reynolds needs.

I like him, he looks good behind the plate.

That might be a good idea. It would also open the door for Swaggerty to play. Reynolds has looked lost today. When he's hitting, they can't afford to keep him out of the lineup. But the way he's going, it won't hurt to put him on the bench for awhile.

Yea I would definitely keep Reynolds out of the lineup on Tuesday against Detroit with the off day Monday. We are seeing what the young guys can do if you play them consistently and keep them in the lineup. It’s still mind-boggling to me how a guy like Chang remains on the roster and Cruz continues to stay in AAA even though he has been killing the ball recently. You gotta believe guys like Cruz and Martin are close to coming up here with all these recent promotions to the roster.

Cole Tucker claimed by the DBacks so it looks like officially his great Pirates career has come to an end.

Great play by Marcano to end it. Very good game! Outstanding pitching, defense, timely hitting, contributions from the "kids."

That’s 5 out of 6 wins 6 out of 8 and 8 out of 12 overall the last 2 weeks so playing some pretty good baseball to start June here and at least keeping people interested over 50 games into the season.
