The best way to get the pitcher out of the game is to beat the heck out of his pitches, and the only way to do that is to swing the bat. The emphasis on base on balls drives me nuts. There isn’t one hitter who doesn’t want to hit the ball rather than draw a walk. And a walk is not as good as a hit, as the saying goes, because a hit can be for multiple bases.

Really a shame that Wilson was pitching so well and then this meltdown.
