Brown and Walk were talking about catchers not being able to throw the ball back to the pitcher.

totally unrelated to today's game, but I've watched a few innings of the Brewers this year and their catcher lobs, and I mean LOBS, the ball back to the pitcher. Even with guys on base, his throws are above the top of the TV screen. I think he's a prime candidate to run a delayed steal on. If you could time it up to literally when he releases the ball, a guy like Bae could be on second before the ball gets back to the pitcher.

can you tell while watching Brewers games if infielders cover second? I could definitely see a delayed steal attempt. If the pitcher has to catch the throw and then turn and throw to second there is a good chance for an error too. Rushing a throw almost always hurts.

Bases loaded, no outs and can't score. And what the hell was Reynolds doing? He started towards home ran back and had to turn around. If he goes straight back for the bag he scores easily. IDK how close a call it was on Joe.
