What I find really disturbing is that when Holderman was in the midst of his 4th consecutive bad game on Sunday, Shelton left him in until the damage was done and said "He needs to do better." When Woodford was getting batters to hit the ball right to his fielders and they couldn't catch a cold, Shelton pulled him, and Nicolas immediately let 3 runs score with a HBP and 2 hard hit singles. So it looks like Shelton faulted Woodford because the fielders couldn't catch but let Holderman stay in a game when he was once again pitching poorly. Once again, performance plays no part in Shelton's decisions.
