Good 2nd inning for Jones. Hopefully, he settled down. He looked like he was pitching scared in the first inning.

I think that in this season, he’s more of a thrower than he is a pitcher. He’ll start to move that pendulum the other way as time goes on. I just hope he does before he’s traded.

Typical Joe Block announcing: he doesn’t just describe Olivares beating out an infield hit. He doesn’t say the Pirates now have a runner at first base and two outs. Instead, he tells us that that’s the kind of play he really likes and he asks Walker if he likes that kind of play too. Joe Block doesn’t want to broadcast baseball games. He wants to have discussions about baseball games.
