Cruz was supposed to be the team's superstar in waiting. He's now usually on the bench vs LHPs. He's hitting .241. He's 2nd in MLB is striking out. He's got power but his 7 HRs ranks him in 71st place in MLB. His 20 RBIs ranks him 132nd. In the field, he leads MLB SSs in errors and he's only 22nd in turning DPs. On the bases he a complete moron with no clue what to do or when to do it.

IMHO, it's time to stop treating him like he's special. He's not. Move him to 1B and tell him it's either that or Indy. And even at that, he might have to be strictly a platoon player. And I would listen to trade offers for him while other GMs might still be more intrigued by potential than performance.
Yeppers! I asked the question a few weeks ago: who would you rather have, him or Elly De La Cruz? It’s no contest.

Can’t tell watching Game Day. Did Oliveras misplay Varsho’s fly ball or was it a legit triple?

Keller nicely pitches out of a jam by striking out Bichette and Vogelbach. 3-0 Bucs after one.

Bucs manage only a Triolo single in the 2nd. Still 3-0 Bucs.

Greg Brown just said Bae was taking groundballs at 2nd today. I would love to see a Bae, Gonzales, Hayes, Joe, McCutheon top 5 in batting order for about a month.

He tracked it to the wall and jumped, but didn’t get it. It bounced off the wall above his glove and ricocheted back into the grass, rolling for a while towards the infield before he tracked it down.

Bucs go three up, three down in the 3rd. I hope the hitters aren’t taking the rest of the day off. Still 3-0 good guys.

Keller gives up a two out single but that’s it. He’s already at 61 pitches. 3-0 Bucs through three. Need to add on what with the bullpen going to have to pitch the final three or four innings.

Bucs looking anemic since the first. Down in order they go in the fourth.
