Jared Jones ends his day 1.2 IP no hits no runs 2 walks 2 strikeouts. Good stuff indeed.
Joe Block reminded Neil Walker that it's the internet, they don't have to stop talking. That makes Joe very happy.

Madris hits a solo shot off Chapman. Chapman out of the top 5 for the Cy Young at the moment.

Chapman with 3K's to go with a walk and the HR. He hit just over 99 a couple of times.
So, the HR really doesn't count because he was being nice. He's still in the running for Cy Young.

Johnson with a double today. For a 19 year old, he is having an impressive ST. Anxious to see where he begins his season this spring. It would be a big jump to Altoona, but he may be able to handle AA pitching. He is an interesting prospect.

If I were Shelton, I would keep playing him against MLB pitching to gage how he handles it the rest of spring training. Make him one of the last cuts so he sees MLB starters as they get stretched out. You get a minor guy starting, play someone else.

I agree with you give him playing time to see how he handles MLB pitching. If I remember correctly he had a ton of walks last season. He has a very good knowledge of the strike zone. I mentioned it an earlier post, he is an untouchable player in my opinion. He is going to be a special player.

I know it is very early in his career, but so far Johnson reminds me of Joe Morgan
