I believe that in every game I've seen this year, Pirates and other teams, the strike zone is expanded. It's obvious. No doubt part of MLB's plan to speed up games. However, in every Pirate game I've watched, the Pirates announcers make the comment that it looks like a wide strike zone today but the same for both teams. As if every game is the first time they've seen it this year and they don't remember that it's been that way in every game and that they've made the same comment in every game.



I can only assume that the announcers have been instructed not to make the observation that it is an MLB-wide occurrence every day. So in every game, they pretend it's something out of the ordinary that they're seeing this year for the first time.

Still 1-1 after four. The Bucs need this kind of pitched game tonight.

Oviedo's looking very good thru 5.

Onto the 6th, still tied at one.

On Hedges' sac bunt in the 5th, the ball traveled further than he did.

Just got in, Seems Oviedo pitched extremely well.

Awful play by Marcano hands SF an extra run. He goes after runner coming to 2B instead of throwing runner out at home. One thing about Shelton's team: they always play heads up ball. ::)

Bonehead play. These are mental errors that are getting out of hand.

This team is wasting a great start by Oviedo because we have NO offense. Put Davis behind the plate, call up Andujar and Rodriguez
