We have to be leading the Majors in taking called third strikes

Two more Bucs down on strikes. Reagan’s perfect through three. The bullpen may have to pitch a shutout until he’s out of the game.

Ortiz replaces Selby. Kind of surprised with how few pitches he threw over two innings.

I wouldn't know where to find those stats, but they said on the radio Jack Suwinski does in fact lead the majors in striking out looking. As far as striking out in general, it amazes me the Pirates are only 11th in MLB in team strikeouts. But, seven of the ten teams with more strikeouts than the Bucs have better records.

The Pirates are fourth in walks. Which leads me to think they certainly lead MLB in just standing there at the plate breathing.

Ortiz issues a two out walk but gets the third out without allowing any damage. Still scoreless after three.

Bucs again go in order but, good news, no one struck out in the 4th. Small victories.

Pffft, Ragans has a perfect game going. Twins had it going twice in their series.

Tough play for Hayes, but honestly, those are the ones I want to see him make, to put a stamp on claims he's the best defensive third baseman. You know, really separate the wheat from the wheaties.

Okay, Ortiz needs to induce a double play
