After Cutch, there is no one in the lineup above .235. So the odds of so many below average hitters stringing hits together in the same inning to score a run are slim. I think this is why we see this problem game in and game out.

There's no basement in the Alamo.
Re: Official Game Thread - 8/28 - Buc @ Royals
Oviedo with a good first inning, allowing only a one out walk. No score after one.
Re: Official Game Thread - 8/28 - Buc @ Royals
Yeah, it’s not hard to figure out why the team doesn’t score.
Re: Official Game Thread - 8/28 - Buc @ Royals
Oh no, bad news. The Bucs put the first two hitters on base in the second.
Re: Official Game Thread - 8/28 - Buc @ Royals
Yikes! Now the bases are loaded with no one out. Oh the humanity!
Re: Official Game Thread - 8/28 - Buc @ Royals
After two straight walks, Rivas swings at the first pitch and grounds into a double play. Endy scores. 1-0 Bucs.
Re: Official Game Thread - 8/28 - Buc @ Royals
Williams flies out for the third out. Once again, an opportunity lost.
Re: Official Game Thread - 8/28 - Buc @ Royals
Base loaded and nobody out and all they could get was one run. Incredulously bad.
Let's Go Bucs

That's what it takes to get one run.

Oviedo with a clean second inning. He might need seven more with this Pirates line-up.
