Since returning from the IL Hayes has been a much better hitter. I wonder if the time on the IL helped heal his back issues.

Or maybe the back issue was made-up so that they could coach him up on how to be a good hitter. It wouldn’t be the first time the old DL or the IL were used for that purpose.

He'd have to relocate. Maybe there wasn't anything to it but it seemed unusual for him to be there 3 innings and be dressed like Block and Wehner.
