Thoughts on the Braves series
Bucs played tooth and nail vs.a very good Braves team. ( presently NL best record)
All 4 games could have gone either way.
The two games the busc won they had to rally from a substantial deficit
Hopefully Hayes is for real this time.
Now if only Shelton will listen to Surg and Wildwood and not play Triolo at second
and Davis in right, the bucs will be fine.
what's happening now with these young players will pay dividends next year
Bring on the Reds!!

Hayes came up big this series
Pirates gave the Braves all they could handle
Braves were very fortunate to get a split
This series should show the young Bucs that they can compete with any team.
They have been playing good baseball with a starting pitching staff that is a big question mark. The rotation changes weekly.
I would have really loved to the Cruz boys battle one another this weekend but it looks like that may have to wait a little longer

I feel a lot more confident when the young guys are batting than with the cast of characters we've seen the past few years. Today Peguero had a pair of run scoring hits. Endy, Davis, Triolo and Williams have also had their moments in recent games. And Palacios looks like a find.

I had a feeling Bucs would show up for this series.
