Mllodzinski gives up a check swing double on his first pitch, then blows away the next two batters with a couple Ks. Impressive.

1-2-3 double play for the 3-0 win. The relievers won a bullpen game right before the all star break, and tonight they get a shutout. Good win.

Just finished watching the last three innings. Bullpen did a fantastic job. Trying to remember the last time the Bucs shut anyone out.

Raise it!!

Shows what an unpredictable game baseball can be. After loading the bases with 2 hits and a walk. Bido gives up a screaming 106 mph liner to Thaiss that could have been the beginning of the end. Instead, it went right into the glove of Gonzales who made a quick flip to 2B for a rally killing DP. Then Bido struck out Renfroe to end the inning. So Bido faced 5 batters that inning and only Renfroe had trouble with him. But Bido came out of it smelling like a rose instead of what he would have smelled like if that liner had been another few inches to the right of Gonzales' glove. ;)

Great work by the BP last night. Consistency has been a problem for all but Bednar. Too often at least one has a bad outing to let a lead slip away or increase a deficit. But last night they all had a good game on the same night. Hopefully, we'll see more of that.

The Pirates have shut out their opponent 8 times this season

They have been shut out 11 times by their opponents. All things

considered, I expected it to be worse
