Kratz's AB's yesterday were so bad -- twice with the bases loaded he looked pathetic. It's nice to see a C that can put the ball in play at the very least.

Fryer can at least hit the ball. He will be very serviceable I feel until both Cervelli and Stewart are ready to come back. This would be another great win tonight if we can hang on the last 3 innings. A win would put us 9.5 behind the Cubs as well. If we could shave off two more games on the Cubs before that series this weekend with them here at PNC Park and maybe pick up another game this weekend on the Cubs it could make things very very interesting heading into the break.

Does that preclude the ESPN announcers (I was watching the national telecast) from talking about it? ESPN.com wrote about it. ESPN contributers tweeted about it.
