Twins. Mostly LF.

Speaking of the Twins, when I went to look at their boxscore yesterday and check out Grossman, I noticed the savior, Miguel Angel Sano wasn't having a particularly impressive season. Numbers very reminiscent of a struggling McCutchen.

Just noticed Neil Walker's monthly OPS numbers aren't exactly trending in the right direction:

March/April .962

May .754

June .565

July .512

I wonder what's going on with him.

Maybe he has Niese disease and is just going down hill as he gets older.

Walker was having back issues when he was playing against Pittsburgh. Maybe it flared up again? I would still rather have him starting at 2B for the Pirates.

Neil Walker just got his first hit on a 3-0 count. . .ever.

It was also the first time he had ever put the ball in play on a 3-0 count.

that sounds amazing but how many times has he swung with a 3-0 count?

I took a look at his splits after reading your question. Prior to the game where he got his hit. Walker had 77 walks on 77 plate appearances.

His slash line on 3-0 pitches is 1.00/1.00/2.00
