At least Locke is out of the rotation. It is painful to watch him pitch.

Now the rotation is expected to look like this:

Cole

Taillon

Vogelsong

Nova

Kuhl

Bullpen:

Nicasio

Locke

Hughes

Schugel

Bastardo

Felix

Rivero

Watson

Is this a guess or announced?

This is my guess with the players we have left.

Great move. Suprised he didn't pass through all the AL teams too, like he did through the NL.

Now if we could only jettison Jared Hughes, id really like the looks of the pen shaping up

In return for Arky Caminero, #Pirates have a choice of a single player or can choose from two players on an agreed-upon list, per source.

Steve19981's interpretation:

Choice of one C+ pitching prospect or two C prospects

maybe it will be a wash with who the team traded for Nova

I would think the return for Nova will be stronger. C+ and a C vs two C's.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I think this would require moving a position player?

could be but Nova's salary is higher and he doesn't have the years of control that Caminero has.

Caminero's been DFA'd once already and was on the verge of being DFA'd again earlier this year. I just don't think that his control value will play too much in a trade. He might be seen as better than AAAA like when the Pirates acquired him initially, but for me, he's still a boom or bust addition.

Nova on the other hand is steady but unspectacular option. In a year where SP rentals were few and far between the Pirates likely paid a premium for him. Nova's trade value due to market factors is higher than Happ's was last year and Happ netted one C+ prospect. Hard to imagine Nova not yielding at least one and a C. Could be two C+ which I think people will hate but it's not out of the question.

I will definitely be in the hate camp if it is two C+ players.
