Thoughts on the eve of 2017 Spring Training

Do you guys buy the Marlins? Even prior to Fernandez's passing, I felt like they didn't have enough pitching. Take one of the top starters in MLB out of their rotation, I feel like they don't have enough. Ditto with the D-Backs. I think the WC comes from two of the Cards, Pirates, Giants, and Mets.

I think the Pirates are better then the Marlins I think beating out either the Cards or the Giants is going to be there problem. Until the Pirates can finish ahead of the Cardinals which they never are able to do they will always be the team that they need to beat out in order to make the playoffs or get to where they want to be.

Lot of production being placed on Kang. I'm not confident we'll see him. Let's hope he opens the season with the Pirates.

It is time for many people to keep telling the cubbies about the 1971 Reds.

At all? You think he won't play in 2017? This would be a major blow. What info do you have?

I have none. I just know he's dealing with serious issues. We don't know what any of the legal jurisdictions will do (Korea, Chicago still, then MLB and maybe most unknown is his visa status). Add it all together and nothing would surprise me. I hoping like crazy he in the roster opening day.

All the reports from the last two days are saying he will be late to Spring Training. I am sure he can afford his fine.

I think it's likely that Kang is suspended by MLB if he is found guilty.

And I think it seems the Pirates believe that too.

I just don't see how anyone can know this. We "expect him" until we hear something different. But anyone of those jurisdictions are waiting to act.
