Also, I have a hard time believing Bastardo is better than people we have in AAA.
Maybe they could trade Bastardo, Newman and Kingham for a bag of baseballs and the chance to not pay Bastardo. Of course NH would tell us how greatly they valued that bag.

The Pirates' uniforms are staying fairly clean. That reduces the cleaning bill and might enable them to sign another third tier FA next year to counter whatever megamillion contracts the Cubs and Cards give out!   ;)


No way that money gets reinvested. Come on! Not until the fans prove they deserve better. What it is the fans must do changes depending on the circumstances, but you can be sure the fans do not deserve that laundry money to be reinvested. KC and Cleveland fans, now that's what fans look like.
