It's what people want, but yet when it happens, the move is still questioned. It doesn't make sense.

Is Joey Cora gonna give him his #3 back? Hope so cause it could be bad luck if Serpico gets different #.

This is not a serious post. Nothing in this thread warranted this. I would back up my assertion, but you know why already. This is a troll, and I'm going to treat it as such.

Conner Joe was a terrible pick, so I'll take a useful utility piece for him for a couple years, yes.

The problem is that this is our 3rd baseman next year and that flat out sucks. it just sucks. I can't stand how we do business. Such losers.

I like Sean a lot and love ge pick up if he's meant to resume his role as a utility guy. If he's penciled in at 3rd full time then the Pirates are gambling - he could be a nice player there. But they're also 'buying in' on a big question.

But welcome back Sean!

We should be looking for a big bat 3rd baseman (Fraser?  Moustakas?  there are options out there, don't laugh!)  and let Kang slide into a bench/utility role if he happens to show up next year.

SRod and Freese are definitely the plan for 3b.  there's no move coming. He's a good utility guy and Freese is a good backup. They both will LIKELY suck as starters. of course there's no guarantee so I'm sure we'll just hang our hopes on that 1 in 10 chance.

SRod is a really good utility option for this defensively challenged team. He's a better 4th outfielder than anyone on the roster and is a plus defender at any infield spot except shortstop.

Unfortunately I believe he was acquired as Kang's replacement. He'll have to produce offensively at close to his 2016 career year level for that to make sense, except of course, in the team payroll context.
