I don't see how Miami wouldn't be last.

oh definitely.  it came long before the others, though, and will last long after. and I was under the incorrect impression that the topic was JD Martinez signing with Boston, not Players Complaining about the Pirates Pt VIII.

i'm not defending anything the Pirates have/haven't done here.  But the state of the MLB as a whole reaches beyond one team.

Story noted how he should address their 27th place standing in team home runs with 168 in 2017.  Bucs finished in 29th with 151 and Giants were last with 128.  With Cutch taking his 28 homers to SF, are we doomed for last in 2018?

Me thinks JD should have signed earlier. Did Boston come back with a lower offer because they found out they were bidding against themselves? This is far from what JD, I mean his agent wanted.

Always looking for an optimistic take on why this franchise won't be the worst in an offensive team stat. Does it matter if Florida or Miami (whatever the hell they are known as now) is worse than the Pirates in homers? Bottom line, these will be the two worst teams in that department hands down.

Bour, Realmuto and Castro (provided they keep all three) probably will have more homers than the top three Pirate hitters combined.

this is an example of how you parse posts, just like folks questioned your use of always. Doesn't the post mostly say that the Bucs are going to have one of the weakest line ups as far as power goes in 2018?

Sox sign JD Martinez which enables the Bucs to pry away the immortal OF Bryce Bentz from Boston

There was a question: "With Cutch taking his 28 homers to SF, are we doomed for last in 2018? "

I answered the question.
