Are they really going to go across the grass or will they stay on the warning track?

My recollection is that the cart stayed on the warning track all the way around the field and did not go on the grass. I'm pretty sure the Orioles did it that way. Also, it seems the carts disappeared about the same time fields were turning to artificial turf, which could have withstood the cart more than grass could.

We should do this so our pitchers are less likely to pull a hamstring or twist an ankle on the way to the mound.

;)

I recall how some pitchers wouldn't use them. Either to "make an entrance" or to clear their heads during the walk. More and more pitchers started refusing the cart. Not sure, but maybe that's why they discontinued it.

I always thought because turf went away.  Most fields are grass.

one of the first, if not the first team to use carts was the Mets at Shea Stadium.

And does jumps over the foul line

Also, weren't most bullpens on the foul lines? Now, they seem to be mostly in the outfield. That's a big loop if staying on the warning track the whole time.

I actually liked the two minute rule. Is that still in effect with the carts?

I think they should drop them in with a jetpack

Sounds reasonable. Although a strong wind gust could put them in the river at PNC.

It could be a new "In-game entertainment" contest . . .
