Very good game for the Good Guys. Beat a very good pitcher and very good team. A combination of very good pitching and hitting.
Buccos playing good baseball.

Thoughts ...
* Honestly I did not expect to see the Buccos back in FIRST PLACE this season but it sure is an awesome sight.
* Pirates now 16-11. And now 6-2-1 in series. If you just go hypothetical for a moment and pretend the nightmare weekend in Philly never happened, this team is 16-7 and 6-1-1 in series. That's pretty incredible. Of course Philly did happen, and it was ugly, but maybe, hopefully, that was just an abberation. There is more evidence at this point to suggest this is a good team and not a bad team.
Anyway, amazing start. I would have never predicted this team would be in first-place after a full month of play.

I want to see the year to year difference / side by side video of his swing. One of these "experts" has to notice too.
It's time to move him up. I'd rather give him five at bats a game than Polanco, Mercer (against lefty).

He also drove one to the track in dead CF last night to drive home the go ahead run.
"New swing" (emphasis on the parenthesis). Move him up, I agree. Get Polanco the heck out of the 2 spot and Cervy in there. Hopefully he doesn't find the DL again or the suspension list. Works for me, we need the production and his bat has been outstanding.

I think Nick Kingham should DEFINITELY supplant Brault in the rotation. He's missing bats... alot, in just the first 2 innings. I don't even care how this one ends up, he should get the spot moving forward. He's better.
I'd like to see Brault in the pen. He's has value. who goes, I don't know.
