Pitching lineup for Nats series announced as Taillon, Kuhl, Nova, Williams. That skips Brault, who was slotted between Nova and Williams the last time thru the rotation. I wonder if they're leaving the door open for another Kingham start.

St Louis is 6 and 15 versus rookie pitchers since the start of 2017. So we are not the only ones that struggle against new faces. The Bucs have only faced Weaver 7 innings before today. Thus, unfamiliarity breeds tough hitting conditions. Kingham looks great so far.

I was hoping they would leave Weaver in to face Diaz. Weird move as they brought in a righty. Moran knocks in another run.

Juan Marichal's MLB debut on 7/19/60 was a CG, 1-hit shutout vs the Phillies with 1 walk and 12 Ks. Marichal retired the first 19 before an error and a walk put runners on in the 7th. Phillies' only hit was a Clay Dalrymple single in the 8th.
