I thought so too until I went to the last 2 games of the season last year at Nats Park and he was 3 for 5 with 4 walks, a 2B, a 3B and 7 RBIs. He really put on a show. He played a lot last September and was pretty respectable. Seems like he's got some potential as a hitter and fielder and can hit with some power if given the chance.

I wonder if Clint might think about the Pen?

Nats pounding Pirates, again...

Nova a never had a chance.   These guys destroyed fastballs the last two nights and fastballs are Nova's go-to.   Defense didn't help, but he was getting hit a ton.

Nats have a weak offense so far this year too. Lots of injuries.

Moroff had a very rough game.  Gotta start him again and again and again.  Get a good look before Kang and Jhay are back.   Along with last year, build some kind of ML sample over the next 3 weeks and see if there's anything there.



He had a putrid start last year when called up, then did very well after settling in. Before yesterday, he had 16AB over like at 15 game span. "Hey Kid, you're starting today against Strasburg"
