I assume there will be a long video tribute between innings too.  Especially, with the new right field wall video screen.

Other than that, it is play ball.  The Pirates need to win this series and take over first place. Yea he is gonna get a video tribute his first at bat and during the bottom of the 1st when he takes the field. It will be a nice ovation and a well deserved one but aside from that it’s business as usual and I don’t want to see Cutch do anything that doesn’t help the Pirates win all 3 of these games this weekend. Why would anybody want to see Cutch do well this weekend and contribute to the Pirates not winning anyone if these 3 games.

Because of the fact that he almost single-handedly made baseball relevant in Pittsburgh again.

Anti-Ownership. Anti-Management. People didn't want him traded for money purposes. There will be people who want him to beat the Pirates.

Because of the fact that he almost single-handedly made baseball relevant in Pittsburgh again. Yea he did no doubt but I’m all about rooting for the logo at the present time. And any big hits or homeruns that Cutch gets this weekend aren’t gonna help the Pirates win these 3 important games like they did the past 9 years he was here.

I think that's revisionist history. I'd also say that one person can never make a baseball team a winner. Baseball just doesn't work like that. Basketball, sure. Baseball...total team game.

I want him to get cheered every time he come to the plate. I want Cervelli to have an equipment issue so that he gets to soak it in, like Molina always does for Freese.....

And then I want him to go 0-12 with nine k’s and 3 GDP’’s with the winning run on third to end all three games.

I love the guy, but I’m a much bigger Pirates fan.

Oh, I don't disagree. But, I think it takes star power to win in MLB. You need a good team, and Cutch had a good supporting cast. But let's not pretend that he wasn't the lead actor in the show.

And yes, I care much more about the name on the front of the jersey than the one on the back. I think it was the right baseball decision to move him. But, I'm also fed up with this ownership group. I'm not convinced that their number one priority is fielding a competitive team. We've hashed and rehashed why ad infinitum, so I'm not going to go over it again. I just want to see Cutch do well. I want the Pirates to win, but it won't bother me a bit if he hits a couple of bombs and gets a curtain call.

No he has been batting 2nd and recently has a 9 game hitting steak and a 20+ on base streak. Although he isn't hitting for power he does have a .377 .OBP. I have a feeling he is going to absolutely crush us this weekend.

The fans will receive him with a standing O, and that will energize him. I expect him to have a good series. Hopefully, we win anyway.
