only 5 innings from Archer. Okay since yesterday was a complete game but was hoping he could go 7 today.

I know Santana’s numbers aren’t bad but he always seems to get in trouble and give up runs at bad times. Hopefully he can get out if this one and keep it 3-2.

Big strikeout by Santana there on Cargo to keep it 3-2. This is such an important game to win. The Pirates desperately need to hang on and win this game. Cannot afford to lose this game as tight as the standings are right now.

No! But can we bring back the ghost of Frank Oceak to coach third? And while we are at bringing back ghosts can we bring back the ghost of Honus Wagner to play SS? 8-)

Been listening and watching the game. I finally took notice as how bad Block is. This guy is absolutely boring! And he lets the picture on the tv go the talking while he meanders about something that is ridiculously not game related. I think the Rock is kinda tired of trying to make the game interesting for the viewers. Poor Rock.

And the "This Player Sucks Brothers" lead the Buccos to a big win in Colorado despite a decent game by singles hitter Colin Moran driving in a run. Keep up the rants guys, it's good luck for the Buccos!

Huge series win had to get these last two in Colorado for sure. They gotta try to somehow get 3 in San Fran which I think is possible. The Giants aren’t playing very good right now and the Pirates always seem to play pretty well when they go there. So I think they have a shot of possibly taking 3 games.

Block meanders about everything he can think of the entire game. He seems to believe his job is to provide entertainment every second and since the nature of baseball is that there are seconds of down time between pitches Block will not allow any silence. I find it very annoying that the listener must hear constant "uh, uh" as he tries to think of something else to say. Greg Brown realizes his job is to call the game. He and the analyst will chat but he allows occasional silences when there is nothing of interest to say. Block will not do that. I don't like Brown's emphasis on catch phrases but he's otherwise a good PBP announcer and easy to listen to. When Block announces I often end up screaming at the TV for him to shut up.

I wonder what kind of evaluations Block gets from his bosses. IIRC, it sounded like the Bucs went out and recruited him rather than him applying for the job.
