No wonder the Bucs did not sign him. He got a 3 million dollar base salary and he receives an additional million if he is on the team for 100 days, and another million if he is on the team 150 days. 5 million is out of the Bucs league for a shortstop in 2019.

Well, we should picket. I still think NH claimed Dickerson off waivers and made that deal because of this board. LOL.

It now appears Iglesias is going to sign a minor league contract with the Reds. Newman and Gonzalez will battle it out for the starting shortstop position. It does baffle me that why were there rumors the Bucs were talking to the Diamondbacks about Ahmed and checking in on Tulo if they felt Newman and Gonzalez could handle the position. I personally think they may hold some doubts as to whether these two players can handle the position. We will soon find out if the FO made the right decision.
