The Diaz thing concerns me. What's up with that? I hope he's okay.



That's going to hurt the team, too. If he's out 2-3 weeks there's no way he'll be ready opening day, and there goes our backup catcher (and a pretty good one at that).

As long as Cervelli can stay healthy early in the season it shouldn't be a problem. And there are 5 off days in the first 22 days of the season so Cervelli can rest. Stallings can back him up until Diaz is ready but the backup shouldn't be needed much.

I hope he is able to remain healthy all season. I just won't bet on it. Looks like Stallings will be on roster. I wonder if Bucs will try and resign Cervelli but at a lower contract. Maybe 9 or 10 million a year for 2 years with an option year.
