Yea that play was just awful by Bell that just can’t happen in a tie game where you make a throw that terribly. This bullpen continues to give up leads and just not be effective. This has just been a miserable last week for the Pirates that I feel is really going to have a huge impact on their season. You can’t go from 12-6 and 6 games over .500 to losing 8 straight games and now being 2 games under .500 if you’re a team like the Pirates. The attendance at these games is already terrible and playing like this is not going to make it any better.

don't forget he is a Pirate. He probably threw better in high school.

I'm so tired of seeing a first baseman and a right fielder who have never been able to field their positions adequately.

Bell is hitting well and just got an RBI single. But he's just trying to make up for the runs he caused. They certainly need his bat but his play at 1B is consistently horrible. As is Polanco's play in RF. How many times does he have to run to the wall chasing an uncatchable drive before he realizes that the ball will just bounce back to where he used to be? He's done that exact same thing 3 or 4 times just this week. Is he incapable of thought?

Two terrible at bats by both Kang and Diaz with 1st and 2nd and nobody out as the Pirates fail to get that tying run home. So frustrating.

Once guys like Marte Dickerson and Chisenhall are back from injury I don’t want to see garbage like JB Shuck coming off the bench in the 9th inning to hit in a one run game. Please DFA him.

4 hits fro Cabrera. I wonder what prospect they'll get for him on 7/31.

Don’t want to hear Bob Walk keep saying it’s early when the team has lost 8 games in a row after being 6 games over .500. This team simply isn’t good enough to overcome losing that many games in a row. They need to stop the bleeding here and stop it soon before things get out of control.

The way they are playing this streak may reach 10 or 12 games. It doesn’t look or feel good. They are losing every way that they can. No hitting, poor defense, poor pitching. It is very difficult to watch them at this time.

I don't know why I didn't notice this before but on MLB.com the standings have team's records against teams with > 500 records.

The Bucs are last here with a record of 1-11. Next worse is Marlins at 3-12.

The Reds are 5-10.

We are approaching that point where we need a new thread on who to trade of 7/31 and what we might get.
