I don’t want to see Stratton ever on the mound for the Pirates. Saw him pitch for the Angels and he was awful. This is the epitome of dumpster diving. They need to go out and get a quality pitcher

But has kingham been any better?

Brault only gave up 6 runs....but the pain value of watching that outing easily had the feeling of 11 or 12 runs.

They make Kingham's 5.94 ERA look pretty darned good. ;) Kingham has the luxury of being out of options while Brault can still be optioned. So Kingham will have a longer leash.

Wow. Josh Bell has become a beast. All-Star. I don’t get the strategy of turning him around and having him hit from the left side. He strikes me as a much better hitter from the right side.

I thought only our outfielders booted balls like that.

We truly appreciate the gift! It opens the door to a huge inning.

Clint also used his bench well and Frazier delievered.

Suddenly the Pirates are 9 outs away from winning 3 of 4 and tying the Cardinals record.

And it might be a bit premature, but if Vazquez is available to pitch the ninth, could we attribute that to him not pitching in that fiasco on Wednesday? A comeback win today would at least make up for one of the two L's in the opening home series.
