Someone needs to ask the writer about his update on Bell. Maybe the guy can get more quotes from his unnamed source?

I remember a few people criticizing (not here necessarily) NH for standing up for him.  Even if you don't like the GM, it was ridiculous to me that people didn't like him defending his players.  If you remember the interview audio he was genuinely angry.

Very good to see Musgrove getting back on track.

I guess in post game interviews (I was long asleep) Hurdle implied that he'd be pitching on short rest next time around on Saturday.  That wouldn't make me sad.

I don't know if I like this idea. Maybe that's why they pulled him when he was rolling and had only thrown 75 pitches. Makes sense. Still, I'm not a fan of pitching guys on short rest. It takes them out of their routine, it increases the risk of injury, you're pitching tired so you're not as effective...I'm not a fan. But, Musgrove knows his body better than I do, and Hurdle knows the team better than I do, so, if they think they can do it, more power to them.

I don't think it's their preference but I'm sure he sees the same things going on with certain other starting pitchers that we see.

True. I'd still rather see Liriano. Even if you don't want him to be "in the rotation" per se, use him as an opener. Call him whatever the heck you want. Liriano for three, Kingham for three, some combination of Rodriguez, Crick, Kela, Vazquez. Speaking of Kela, he's eligible to come off the IL today. Given that they didn't even know if they'd have to IL him in the first place, I'd think he'd be back today, but I also haven't heard anything on him. Anyone heard an update on Keone?

Yeah, I wouldn't mind your Liriano idea at all, even if for just one trip through the lineup

Saturday would be Brault's turn. Maybe Brault will be optioned today when they activate Archer.
