I also like his hustle. But what it might take to extend him to be a 4th OF is beyond what TBMTIB will spend. Although he would be a decent replacement if Polanco is gone or can't play the OF in a decent way. But the Polanco issue will not play out until next season. Right now I would consider Osuna to be a good option in the OF as well as backup at 1B & 3B and we know he can pinch hit.

If they're confident about the minor leaguers, perhaps a Moran trade could be a surprising but sell-high move that would get something.

Certainly not a bad idea. I level he is currently playing it is probably his peak.

That is a good thought. With Hayes waiting at Indy, and players like Osuna and Kramer who have experience at third base , a trade of Moran could make sense.

I understand (via mlbtr) the Pirates dangling Lyles, so his performance last night, even though they lost, has to be a decent showcase.
