Tommy Edman is quickly falling in line as one of those new Cardinals young players who come up and just kill the Pirates both with the bat and the glove. He seems like he has just tortured the Pirates this last week they have played them.

Man has Bell looked awful at the plate recently. What is he swinging at so far in this game tonight??

was this Stratton's best game with the Bucs? Still not convinced he is better than Holmes.

With this loss and with the Reds winning 9-0; the Pirates will sink to the bottom of the NL Central where they will remain for the rest of the year. Goodbye 2019 baseball season; hello Steelers training camp.

The death spiral after the break continues. The Pirates are now 2-9 since the All Star Break. The season continues to slip away as the Pirates are going to find themselves completely buried in the standings in another week or so if things don’t change and change in a hurry.

This team is just not good enough it needs major changes in both the personnel in particular the pitching staff and bullpen and major changes within the coaching staff which starts with Hurdle.

What do you guys want from Archer ? His fastball doesn't cut it. There was talk of him being "fixed" as he dropped his 2 seam FB all together. That's great as it was getting killed. What very few mentioned was he wasn't doing all that much better with the 4 seemer. It's lost about 2 MPH from a couple years ago and gets hit at an alarming rate.

You guys can talk about him being a "head case " and this and that. The man is no longer that good at baseball. He can't keep his fastball from getting slaughtered . What should he do

Other words he is what he is and it's probably not going to get a lot better. IMO opinion he's now a # 5 ... 4 at best.
