I'm really glad I'm watching this. There's just something special about watching the Pirates strand lead-off batters at second base.

boy are the Pirates a bad team.

Keller not fooling anyone tonight.

To have any chance in 2020 he is going to need to be a very good starter.

Gotta hope he figures things out.

Before tonight Bucs had hit 132 homers and given up 175.

What is team record for home runs allowed? Good chance to get to 225 this year.

Just like the Pirates to be embarrassed on national TV in front of a stadium full of kids.

To base your comment on illogic like that, you have to either:

1) have no fear of job security;

2) no pride in your job;

3) no problem telling a lie;

4) and/or no functioning brain.

The only thing left to watch for tonight is if the Pirates follow Hurdle's standing orders to start beaning Cubs.

After tonight, MLB will ask the Pirates to participate again in this marquee showcase game that highlights the best about baseball sometime in the late '30s.

That should be about year 23 of the 5-year master plan. :)

Somebody should ask Frazier how much rest he needs. I think number 3 is the most correct answer.

Based upon what we are witnessing this year, Keller is the third power pitching prospect that Searage has mishandled: Cole, Glasgow, and now Keller. Please trade him to some team for a hard throwing reliever with little miter control, a starting pitching prospect who tops out at 92 mph, and a slow-footed 3B man.

I don't know about Searage ruining Keller, but the Pirates grow these "can't miss" pitching prospects down on the farm who dominate the lower minors and then stall out in Indianapolis. Keller wasn't overpowering in AAA, at least not like a guy with his pedigree should have been. There's something that has seriously gone off the rails with developing pitching prospects within this franchise.

On the other hand, I try not to be to knee-jerky when it comes to rookies. This is a weird venue tonight, and it's a tough draw for a rookie. Plus the $900 gazillion Cubs were due to break out one of these days. Keller will be interesting to watch through rest of the year or until he needs Tommy John surgery, whichever comes first.
