We have been in a status quo state since the time AVS, Bobby Bo and steroid boy were gone.  We got lucky twice during the period.  I don't expect anything to change unless Nutting sells. Any change absent that is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's very clear Nutting doesn't care about winning or losing as long as he's profiting. I think the only personnel who matter to Nutting are his accountants. (That's not a joke.) I'm sure he factors the effects of losing on revenue via reduced attendance but so far is still making a profit. Into that calculation must go the cost of paying CH and/or NH 2 more years while also paying their replacements if they are fired, the anticipated effects on revenue of extremely poor attendance next year if fans see no reason to expect change, and the new TV deal. I suspect that negotiations for the new TV deal will involve expectations for upcoming viewer interest. After all, why would the broadcast network pay as much for a team no one wants to watch as they would for a team whose fans have reason to hope for improvement? So I believe these are the real factors that will determine how the teams moves forward after this disaster of a season. While we can be pretty sure changes won't be made simply to make the Pirates a better baseball team, we also know that this team follows the money. So we can only hope that concept leads to changes that improve the team.
