Agrazal Now a Tiger

I'm not crying over losing Dario one bit. He would have been stationed at AAA to start the season and most likely would have been called up to be bullpen help. The biggest faults he had were he did not have a great fastball and if you noticed his stats he gave up 15 HRs in 73 innings while only striking out 5 per 9 innings pitched. Not the kind of guy I want in my regular rotation. He might come up and make a spot start on occasion and give you a few good innings but he also might end up giving you nothing in that spot start. I believe BC will find something out there or maybe even in the system to do the same thing.

isn't Alex McRae still in system? I doubt if he will be picked in Rule 5.

When we traded Luplow to the Indians, I took it as a sign that we were aiming higher. Then we signed Chisenhall and Cabrera. I am wondering if I am wrong again to think - or is it hope - that we will sign a better starting pitcher than Agrazal.

I wonder if it was a deal where the Tigers called up Cherington and said "We both know you are probably going to lose Agrazal to Rule Five. How about this, we make a trade. You ship us Agrazal and I'll buy you lunch at the winter meetings. That way you can claim it was for "financial considerations."

Did we ever find out what happened to Chisenhall? We heard something about another calf injury and he pretty much went into witness protection after that.
