I am a little surprised Tom is not in the starting lineup tonight. Evans has been slumping, and I thought he might get a couple days off.

I can see him getting a pinch hit appearance and then put in one of the OF spots in the late innings just so he can get first game jitters behind him, then he'll get the start tomorrow.

There's an article in the PG today that says Bucs hitting coach Rick Eckstein was the hitting coach at Kentucky when Tom was the star hitter there. So hopefully, he will help develop him at the MLB level.
