Per the Trib:

No MLB team has allowed more first-inning hits (25), first-inning walks (12) or first-inning runs (23) than the Pirates. No other team entered Saturday having allowed more than 14 first-inning runs this season.

I know we've had some bright spots lately, but it is bad, long-term business model to go into a season with virtually no starting pitching. Not only do you lose lots of games, but it just flat-out wears out the bullpen when they have to constantly enter in the 3rd inning.

And today with Chad Kuhl I have ZERO confidence that the trend will change.

So depressing.

Our pitching is wretched.

Down 2-0 or 3-0 or 4-0 what feels like every single game.

And our offense is wretched, so you know they have no chance of overcoming an early deficit.
