Rain today could dampen his return.

Damn shame. That HR to start season had my hopes high for the BUCS to get another ROY. Jason Bay can rest easy.

I think most of the heavy stuff will clear out by the afternoon.

It would be even better if Moran were coming back. I'm anxiously awaiting to see who goes.

My guess: Tom goes back on the IL

Yes, it will be very convenient to put Tom on the IL. Teams rarely miss a chance to stash a Rule 5 guy on IL. Although in Tom's case I don't expect him to last the season anyway. I don't see the upside of keeping him in the organization. His only skill seems to be being short and having a small strike zone. It's swinging at pitches that causes problems for him as he hovers around the Mendoza line.

Don't know if he's coming up.  Don't care who's going down.

Am I happy or in misery?

Whatever it is, this losing's been hell on me.  :(

Help me!  Help me!

Please don't plagiarize the late great Jimi Hendrix, you're not worthy. ;)

Good to see Hayes returning. It also was wise for the Pirates to make sure he was healed and not try to rush him back.

With respect to who should go, there is only one player who the Pirates could release that would make a statement --- Polanco.

Every other player who is shown the door is simply avoiding what needs to be done.

Shelton confirmed Hayes will be batting second tonight. No word of any corresponding move.

Someone has to come off the 40 man roster. I had forgotten about that when I thought they would just put Tom in the 10 day IL again.

Like was mentioned in a previous post, the move to make is Polanco. But my new guess is it will be Will Craig.

Okay, I was correct the first time. But it's Crowe is optioned. Pirates going with a 13 man pitching staff

When Vargas was sold to AZ I guess that opened a spot on the 40 man.

Yeah. I didn't go count up the roster. Interesting move sending down Crowe. Guess his spot wont be coming up in the rotation next cycle.
