Umpires are now talking this over....is not challengeable....and Shelton is going to go nuts if they do.
What happened is Newman hit a ball that was dribbling foul, but starting coming back to the line, Walker ran over, and shoveled it to the back stop thinking it was foul, and Cora just kept waving them to keep running, because no Met went for it.
The replay shows the ball was clearly fair. Rojas in a world of trouble, because he bumped the ump, and man how stupid is he going to feel when he sees he's wrong.
The umpire gave the fair call, and Walker was arguing with the ump while Pirates were crossing home plate in front of him.
THE CURSE OF HOME PLATE IS ON THE METS!!!
