Perez has now started 7 of the last 13 games. And with the All-Star break, Stallings has started only 6 games in the last 17 days. No wonder he needs a rest tonight! All of that not playing must be exhausting. And why not, when you can plug in Perez hitting .144.

I have been looking up the stats on various players and could fill up a page with the names who have missed very few games. As many of us have posted, this day off business is bulls#it

Stallings is 14th in MLB in number of games played for catcher, and 10th in at bats. However, that's all games, how many for any player was a one off PH appearance, but as we all know how managers loathe having the catcher on the bench PH, probably not too many times.

I meant to add, I was surprised he was up that high on both lists. For NL only, he's 10th in games and 6th in AB's for catchers.

I was just checking, didn't see anyone posted transactions. Kranick back up, as well as Mears, who I assume was allowed because of an injury replacement, as De Jong was placed on the 10 day IL.
