Tsutsugo, after 2 hits today, is only hitting .197 for the season. But that's due to how poorly he hit for TB (.167) and LA (.120). Since joining the Pirates he's hitting .286 (14 for 49).

Exactly
Now can we hold this lead
Surg is conspicuous with his absence. Maybe yesterday was too much for him. Or he is at the game and forgot his laptop
I am at the trampoline park with Mister Man. Following on GameDay because you know have to be blacked out.

OK Shelty this how we do it: Stratton only 11 pitches. TODAY is the day for the 2 inning save. Have bednar up. If one guy reaches you bring in Bednar.

Bednar is extremely well rested. He pitched on Sunday, August 29 and then Thursday September 2. That's it for over a week. Since August 29 the Pirates went 0-6 losing each game by 3 or less runs and Bednar appeared in only 1 of them. I guess he's not allowed to pitch unless its a save situation. Which is perfect for Shelton's maximum rest philosophy.

With that hit Tucker raised his batting average 13 points. At that pace, 12 more hits and he'll be wearing the batting crown.

Bednar in. He should intentionally hit 5 guys in a row for not going into the game when we were up yesterday instead of Shelton going oh so "my guy must only pitch the 9th"
