NLCS - Braves vs DaBums

Post by GreenWeenie »

I just love the two LCS. Baseball at its best, followed by baseball at its absolute best. The only bad thing about it is being on the outside looking in. Wish I could be there for all of them. Gotta hit big on that lottery or something. ;)

Seriously, what an unlikable set of four teams that are left. I guess the Braves by default? I feel dirty just typing that.

I don't like a league whose business parameters ensure that about five teams are all but guaranteed to get 2-3 of the final four spots.  Every once in a while an outsider team will sneak in which is useful to keep up the charade.

But more specifically in this case, you have the Known Cheaters, the Dodger$$$, The Tomahawk Chop, and (ugh!) the Red Sox. The Sox I mostly dislike their fanbase and how much they complain about how everything is unfair.

You said the Giants and the Rays were the best.

Where are they?

I don't think so. In fact, I dare say there's no chance to be found anywhere you declaring these the four best teams at any point in the season, until they made it here.

When posts you make throws some shade on the Pirates no matter the topic, I'll point these things out. You can complain all you want, but it's this kind of subtle hijacking you do thread to thread to thread is what becomes so annoying.

It's supposed to be a thread about the series, yet not one comment about a singular play on the field from you.

We can all complain about the many things wrong with baseball but what you pointed out is the one I think is the biggest problem.  An owner like Nutting is really bad for Pittsburgh but the inequity between the franchises is even worse because it affects the entire game by minimizing so many of the franchises.

I don't see where anyone here, including yourself, has predicted that these would be the final four teams in the playoffs.  So what?  That's baseball.

I also said that i didn[t think that the Rays would win the World Series.  So, the Red Sox beat them.  Is that a big deal? A few of us got it wrong.

Best may have meant "among the best."  So, I didn't write it so that you could understand that.  I apologize with all my might.

So, I like teams that win.  Guity.
