I prefer Bae as a lead off hitter
The way that Hayes is hitting now, he should be in he middle of the order where he can drive in runs

I agree jr8 but you know Shelty is not the best manager for making out the lineup for games. I think what Shelty does is put names in a hat and has Pirate Parrot draw the names for what the lineup will be.

Here we go. Delay with throwing error leaves a runner on 2nd with one out.

Let's hope this one isn't in the L column before the top of the 1st is over. But it seems to be moving in that direction.

Who would have guessed that the guy who was recalled after stinking in 4 of his 6 outings (7.77 ERA) at AAA since being optioned in July would immediately stink when given a start with the Pirates? But of course Cherington is smarter than everyone else and knew that Ortiz was ready to face MLB hitters again even if he struggled against AAA hitters.

It seems that Ortiz didn't learn much at Indy. Everyone makes errors
but that one by DeLay really hurt.
It doesn't do any good to complain but with a day off tomorrow, unless
Endy 's arm is sore after getting hit on the arm he should be catching. I don't want
to hear about the day game after a night game stuff. He is 23 yrs old, I said this last year
and I will say it again. Last year in a 4 game series against the bucs, 41 yr.old Molina caught
all 4 games. Last one was a day game!!
