He was hitting .311 at Albuquerque (PCL).

I checked his stats with Rockies and he has played mostly in the outfield. His bat is too bad to be an outfielder. Maybe he is great defensively in the outfield but he is no K'Bryan Hayes with the bat.

Tigers broadcaster and catcher Jim Price passed at 81. He got a ring with the 1968 Tigers. He was sold to the Tigers in April 1967, without ever appearing as a Pirate, and I'm sure the only reason I remember him as a Pirate is that he shared a "Rookie Stars" card with Luke Walker.

I remember Jim Price very well and was surprised yesterday to learn he never played with the Pirates. I guess I remembered him as a Pirate minor leaguer. I always thought he had gotten the ol' cup o' coffee with the Bucs.

Hedges has only started one game for the Rangers. Don't they want to take advantage of the magnificence of his legendary pitch framing?

He was disappointed when he didn't make the team out of Spring Training and asked to be traded. the Bucs sold him to Detroit. Didn't even get a player in return.

Two former Bucs involved in the same transaction. Choi is going on the IL , and the Padres are bringing up Ben Gamel to replace him on the roster.
