I give Brown a lot of credit....he gives pause to see what happens first. Block has twice overreacted to swings in just the last couple of innings, thinking both were really hard hit but they weren't. Capps saved him on the one by Gamel saying he just got it off the end of the bat. The last out of the 6th Block described it as being "roped". It didn't look like it was roped to me.

But I'm not criticizing. It's just difficult sometimes listening to something that isn't agreeing with my eyes
I think it's an unwritten rule that the announcers can't criticize the manager. But Wehner came close when he said he was shocked when he saw Anderson being congratulated in the dugout after 5 innings. Brown tried to bail him out by suggesting that maybe Anderson asked to come out. ::)

The TV side Capps was defending it, "you have a lead and a chance to win a game, you only need 6 outs and you have the horses to do it" I like Bednar, Rich Rod....but I don't put them in the "horses" category.

Jordan Lawlar gets the scouting treatment this game. Went to same high school as Josh Bell, and has an offer to go to Vanderbilt.

I haven't once seen his name to the Pirates in any mock draft

One thing is certain. Shelton either took Anderson out to early or left him in too long.
