It seems self evident just by the who's up and who's down that nobody really knows from year to year or month to month who is legit and who isn't.

Odd to count prospect chickens with so much variation in "value" in such short time.  Probably best to wait until they're at minimum, high minors, to start evaluating draft results.   If not wait until they're a year into the bigs

If the attached story is correct, only four players in the first 10 rounds of the draft went unsigned. At pick 36 overall, Hogland was the lowest player of the four to not sign. Somewhat interestingly, two of the four will head to Mississippi State, and Hogland to Ole Miss.

There’s a report from Callis that the Bucs medical staff found something during Hoglund’s physical before signing. It’s quite possible - but not reported - that the team’s bonus offer shrunk significantly after that.

Man Baz really looks lousy huh?  16 pro starts ERA over 5.00. Walks everywhere.   9 wild pitches?   Come on.   That's the 12th overall pick in 2017pitching in rookie ball.

Yeah. Not what we’d hoped for. I’m just hoping that his first full year as a pro is teaching him some key lessons, and we see a leap forward next year a la Keller.

Kebryan Hayes. 26 doubles, 6 triples, 6 homers .367 OBP. 21 years old in AA.

The wheat is really starting to separate from the chaff now. This kid is coming.

Awesome display of gap power and some speed too. Good to great obp skills. He's breaking out fast

Mitch Keller is just getting killed in Indy.   4 starts 8.66 ERA, only 17 innings in those 4.    The peripherial numbers are even worse looking than the ERA, so we will spare that agony.

I think we may have an arm problem.  Control numbers are way off norms. Maybe time to shut him down a while and regroup. Not going good at all.
