I think my role in this discussion has ended.
You are correct. MLB might as well close up shop. Thank you for letting us know. What will we do now? Follow professional table tennis, i guess.

According to Jason Mackey in the Post-Gazette this morning, the owners have agreed to institute the universal DH. If they're trying to drive fans away, it's working on me.
